It's high time I made an entry about Lost, seeing as how I'm completely and utterly addicted to that 43 minutes of primetime meat. I am so, so tired of reading/hearing people say that if Lost does not get any better, they are going to stop watching. They are going to give it ONE MORE CHANCE, but after that, get lost with you, Lost. I wonder who these people think they are threatening. If they don't like what could arguably be the best and most intricate show on television, then just stop watching it and please stop bitching about it. There are more than enough people who enjoy the show and find it stimulating, and no one is going to miss any of these people who just don't get it. I read this great article in EW yesterday and M. Fox was saying about the same thing, something along the lines of just stop watching, we won't miss you. I don't understand the point of watching the show if you don't find all of the little connections, the mythology, and theme interesting enough to stick around for the long haul. Anyone who thought that "Lost in Portland" was boring obviously has bad taste, and I cannot argue that because it is the plain truth. We got a backstory on the first Other, and we saw a brilliant reference to A Clockwork Orange. What was not to like, exactly?
Okay I'm done ranting. I gues I shouldn't even care if other, less interesting people don't enjoy the show--I have 15 more weeks of pure awesomeness on it's way, and that is what is really important.
